An Outside 90 Degree Mitered Corner (on the house)

Here is a close-up of a corner to be sealed and fastened together right on the house, and then resealed as I do.  I have the ends of the gutters cut in the miter shapes and ready before the gutter is mounted on the fascia boards.  I also run a bead of caulk on the inside of the end of the second gutter before it goes up. This makes it so there is a bead of caulk between the two layers of copper sheet metal. I use 3 stainless steel screws with metal and rubber washer to hold the back side of the gutters over-laps tight to the fascia board corner.

Then I drill 1/8" holes through the two layers of copper on the corner to rivet them tightly together. One on the top outer lip, 3 on the outer face, and 4 across the bottom.  I use 3 stainless steel screws w/metal and rubber washers to hold the back side together tightly.  I then re-caulk over the seam inside the gutter and over the copper rivets to make sure it cannot leak. I then take one of my gloves off to use my finger to work the caulk into the seams and spread it over evenly. I then use spray paint on the caulk as a solvent, to then use my finger to work the caulk into the seams and smoothen it out.  I then spray some more spray paint over the caulk one final time to help shield it from the sun's UV rays.
