The Cain Gutter Replacement (5-05) $1,451.14

These Clay Red pre-painted aluminum gutters and downspouts to match the house paint were to replace the old steel gutters they had. This house is at 1220 NE Simpson in Portland Oregon owned by Sarah Cain.  The Original bid was for $1,515.68, but the final cost was only $1,376.14 for the basic gutters, extra prep of the rafter tails, and another $75 for hauling off 2 trailer loads of old lumber and yard debris. For a Grand total of only $1,451.14, which was still less than the original bid.  That is $139.54 less than the bid.

We were also asked to clean out the gutters and install screens on the blue house next door to Sarah. That project was only $245 for the 140' of gutter to work over.

The first picture above shows the old gutters removed.  We needed to do some extra preparation on the rafter tails to cut them off straight down, so we are able to set the gutter in place with a slight grade towards the downspout outlets in the gutters.  With the pair of 2.5" stainless steel screws we use on each rafter tail, there is no need to have these wood supports under the gutters.  Below shows the finished project.
