Remember you can click on each pictures below for a better view We removed the aluminum gutters and installed our new 20oz copper gutters for the Michael Wight family. The original bid on 11-19-05 was for $7,955.96, but they waited until 3-28-06 to agree to the terms and put the 1/3 down deposit. The cost of copper had risen considerably, so we had to charge more, but with only half the screens it raised the cost to only $8,152.40. Then later with more changes of adding some drip-edge flashing and screens all around; the final cost was only $8,164.30 for everything after we had recalculated the cost to reflect only the materials used and a 25% discount on all the screens, which was a savings of $457.07. We gave them the discount on the screens because I had put them on before I realized they had asked for only half the gutters to be covered on 2 sides back 5 months earlier. It so rarely ever happens I did not think to check for that on the contract, so I asked if they wanted the extra screens removed, or get them all at a discount. The added screens were half price, which is less than our cost. We also lost more money on this job because the cost of copper raised a lot more than I had predicted. By the time we got to this job we had to raise our prices from $9 for downspouts and $11 for the 20oz copper gutters up to $12 and $15, which was another loss of $2,669.25. The photos here clearly show how we carefully custom fit the gutters and downspout mounted over the siding to fit better and more secure than most any other gutter company. You will be hard pressed to find work as good as ours. We design improvements in the drainage of the gutters with most every gutter job we do. There were numerous improvements made on this job. Besides the fact that we gave all the gutters a slight grade towards the outlet drains, so there is no standing water in the gutters, we implemented 4 expansion joints to relieve tension off the corner seams. They are also installed 8 times stronger than building code, which is important, since these gutter empty weigh about 3.5 times as much as the aluminum gutters we replaced. 104.56' of heavy-duty
